One Smart Sun

Today on the way back from a beautiful hike at a local nature preserve, my 6 year old son piped up after an earlier conversation about day light savings time with the following proclamation:

"The sun SURE IS SMART!"

Why? We asked.

"Because, the SUN doesn't have a clock to look at to know when to change when it goes down, but WE DO. It has to know all by itself."

8 year old daughter launched into an explanation of the solar system and spinning tops- attempting to dissolve the pedistal my boy had put the sun on. He didn't fall for it though- just kept on giving the sun a big thumbs up out the window.

Gotta love it.
