Tact vs. Pre-Teen

Scene: Group of 10 year olds leaving our house, as their moms picked them up after a gathering

Action: One mom hugs her daughter as she greets her at the door

Killer One-Liner (heard by all): "Geez, Mom- you *need* to pluck your chin hairs!!!"

Audience: Silence (out of respect to said Mom) then all-out hilarious laughter...

Note to Self: You are *not* ready to be the parent of a teenager!

Hi Dawn, I had to LOL at this one. I finally realized as I reach middle-age and need (gulp) bifocal contact or reading glasses that the irony is that just as you start being able to no longer *see* - you also start to *sprout* hair in places where it never was - AND guess what? You *can't* see it! So, those teens might come in handy - at least on the beauty front someday soon when I am totally blind! Thanks for the funny. Cari

Amy- What book are you using (if it's a book)? I need to do that!!!

LOL about "Are you there..". Emily happened to pick that up from the library when she was in *SECOND GRADE*, and I didn't notice until she was 80% of the way through it... I guess I owe Judy Blume for Chapter One! ;)
